What is an Inpatient Rehab Facility?
An Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) is a hospital-based program where patients come after a serious injury, illness, surgery, or stroke that requires more intense therapy services to fully recover. A physician-led interdisciplinary team will create personalized treatment plans designed to help patients return to everyday activities as safely and quickly as possible. Patients will receive a minimum of 3 hrs of therapy, 5 days a week with focus on improving strength, balance, mobility, speech, and daily living skills.
