SWING Bed

When you are well enough to leave the acute hospital but not quite ready to return home, our SWING Bed Program provides the extra care and therapy you need to continue to heal safely and confidently.

What is a SWING bed?

A SWING bed is a hospital-based program for patients who no longer need full hospital services, but still require skilled nursing care, therapy, and ongoing medical monitoring for recovery before returning home. Our SWING bed program helps patients transition from hospital care to home with the extra time for healing, rehabilitation, and support in a comfortable setting.

Who may benefit?

Patients who need additional time to recover from an illness, surgery, injury, or a hospital stay who still require short-term medical support and rehabilitation.
